Did you purchase any sexy hair products with the sulfate-free label since November 2012? if yes, then you could get compensation money.
A $2.33 million Settlement has been reached to resolve the sexy hair sulfate-free shampoo lawsuit against defendants. The lawsuit claiming that the defendant manufactured, and sold certain shampoos and conditioners under the label of sulfate free but, may have contained sulfates.
The Class Members include in the settlement were consumers who had purchased big sexy hair volumizing shampoo and curly sexy hair shampoo, since Nov. 19, 2012.
Plaintiff’s complaint:
In search of sulfate-free shampoos and conditioners many consumers’ purchased sexy hair products to avoid a reaction for harsh cleansing agents. The plaintiff Molly Crane filed a case in February 2017, against the sexy hair alleging that the company sold its product as being sulfate-free despite containing sulfates.
Further, he said that he reportedly read the label off on the healthy sexy hair written as sulfate-free Soy moisturizing shampoo. He purchased that product in thought it would be good for her hair. However, after using the sexy hair product, she feels dissatisfied.
Further, the crane claimed that other consumers’ get their hair damaged due to the presence of chemicals, sulfate and other salts on the back of the label. Thus many people who buy the products were damaged by the company’s misleading statements. Due to this false label on the product, the plaintiff filed a Sexy Hair class action lawsuit against the company.
But, in October 2018, Crane the plaintiff and Sexy Hair Concepts LLC reached a settlement to resolve the class action allegations against them.
In addition to the $2.33 million settlement fund, the Sexy Hair also agreed to stop labelling its products as being sulfate-free. The company only labelled if the products truly do not contain sodium lauryl sulfate.
The Sexy Hair does not admit any wrongdoing but gets ready for the settlement to avoid the costs associated with continuing litigation.
