If you suffered damages from a DuraPro toilet connector, then you can get compensation from DuraPro toilet class action settlement.
A $16.5 million settlement has been reached in a class action lawsuit against interlines. The lawsuit alleges that the DuraPro toilet connectors with plastic coupling nuts were defective and caused property damage of consumers’.
The DuraPro class action lawsuit also claims that the Interline knew about the defective products. The same company redesigned or replaced the products years’ before. But, the company failed to provide safe installation instructions and warnings which leads to failure of the coupling nuts.
According to the DuraPro Toilet Connector Settlement, the coupling nuts of affected DuraPro toilet made up of acetyl plastic that was imported from China through Linx Ltd. or MTD (USA) Corp. Further, this was distributed in the United States and had a six-ribbed design or a bi-wing design.
The plaintiffs stated that the defendant Interline Brands Inc. manufactured, designed, and distributed DuraPro toilet connectors with defective plastic coupling nuts. They further stated that the company already knew about defects but did not do anything to avoid failure of installation of coupling nuts.
According to the lawsuit the Interline’s way of conduct led to consumers experiencing property damage due to defective toilet connectors. The plaintiffs state that the defective DuraPro toilet connectors cause water damage to their entire property. They also said that water enters their living premises that damage their floor and furniture. Interline denies the allegations and maintains that the DuraPro toilet connectors are not defective.
The company denies the allegations and says that the failures of the toilet connectors happen due to improper installation, misuse or the product lifespan. But, Interline agreed to settle the DuraPro class action lawsuit to avoid any burden and expense on ongoing litigation.
