Wolford America Advertising Text Message Class Action Settlement

Text Message Class Action Settlement

If you have received an unwanted advertising message from Wolford America on July 7, 2016, or September 2, 2016, you are eligible to receive a $60 or a $120 gift card from the text message class action settlement.
The messages advertised a new sale and a collection launched by their boutique company. According to the Plaintiff in the lawsuit, the text messages have violated the TCPA as they did not include opt-out message option.
TCPA is the Telephone Consumer Protection Act protects customers from various harassing text messages, calls, and faxes. This act came into existence in 1991 to limit the use of auto-dialers, telemarketers, and robocalling. It also offers the Do Not Call registry that allows the client to inform the companies that they do not want to be contacted with the advertisements. The companies who will violate this act will have to face steep fines including $500 to $1,500 per violation.
According to the terms of the text message class action settlement, the Class Members can file a claim for $60or$120 that can be easily redeemed on their boutique. However, the amount of gift card depends on the numbers of messages that are received by the Class Members.
If a Class Member has received one text message, he will be paid $60. On the other hand, if Class Member has received text messages on both the days, he is entitled to receive a $120 gift card.

You can verify the claim by printing the Claim Form or by entering the mobile number online. The claim forms are due by Nov’5, 2018, and the members can exclude themselves from this text messaged class action settlement by Oct’5, 2018.
