A settlement of $1.3 million has been released to resolve a class action lawsuit. According to the Food Class Action Settlement, the lawsuit filed against the Metagenics food products alleges that the products are falsely advertised as being able to treat various medical conditions. The medical conditions include diabetes, cardiovascular problems, fatigue, and bowel problems.

The plaintiff William Grivas claims that he and other consumers purchased the food products sold by Metagenics in the thought of health benefits.
