Time Magazine has agreed to pay $7.4 million to settle a class action lawsuit settlement. According to the lawsuit and Subscription Settlement, they have violated privacy laws of Michigan by giving out the information about their customers to third parties.
You can also be entitled to the claim if you have Michigan address and have purchased a subscription from Feb’19, 2013 to Feb’19, 2016. The magazine publications of time magazine include-

The plaintiff for this subscription settlement action lawsuit says that they initially filed a lawsuit against Time Magazine in 2016 on the claim they disclose the personal information of their customers to third parties. Further, they also say this case is also a violation of Michigan’s Video Rental Privacy Act.
Time Magazine denies any wrongdoing but has agreed to settle the amount to avoid the expenses of ongoing litigation. There are 719,000 class members who are eligible for the benefits of this subscription settlement.
However, this class action settlement was approved on July 5, 2018. Moreover, the deadline to opt out from this settlement is September 14 2018.

You are eligible if you have Michigan street address and have purchased a subscription from Feb’19, 2013 to Feb’19, 2016. But the purchase should not be made through the TIME website.
No proof of purchase is required to file a claim for this settlement.
Potential Award
$25-$50, depending upon the total number of claims that you have filed.
However, make sure you do not file a claim, if you do not qualify for the subscription settlement. In case, if you submit a fraud claim, you will be harming other eligible members as well.
