According to NIBCO plumbing part class action settlement, the company has to pay $43.5 million for the water damaged that occurred due to their products.
The plaintiffs stated that the PEX plumbing tubes, brass fittings, and stainless steel clamps, supplied by the company were defective and became the prime reason for many water leakages hazards.
The lawsuit was filed by Kimberly, Alan Cole and James Monica in 2013 against the water damages that happened due to NIBCO plumbing parts, since Jan1, 2005.
The customers who owned or occupied a structure with NIBCO pluming fixture since Jan1, 2015, are eligible for the settlement. Provided, they must have unreimbursed cost from water damage or water damage repairing.
The compensation is additionally available for six years after the beginning of this settlement, for future damages.
You can file a claim for the settlement with a hard copy or a mail before May 31, 2019. However, the final hearing is on April 8, 2019, and if you want, you can withdraw your name from the settlement before Feb27, 2019.
Are You Eligible?
The consumers, who own or have acquired structure with these fitting since jan1, 2005 and have suffered losses due to water damages or have paid for repairs, are all eligible for the settlement.
Potential Award
The valid claimer with proper documentation can get 25 to 70 percent of the total losses that occurred due to these fittings.
Proof of Purchase
Proper documentation including insurance details, photographs, plumbing records, inspection reports, bills, and receipts, are required for the claim.
