A cookie class action settlement has finally reached to a $5 million settlement. According to the settlement, Lenny and Larry have misinterpreted the nutritional value of their complete cookie. Out of the $5 million amount, $1.85 will be contributed as the settlement amount for the class members and the remaining amount will be used to provide free products with the eligible members.
The eligible members include the customers who have purchased the cookie package or any other baked goods from Lenny and Larry’s. The members have the choice to choose for the claim- either a free product or cash.
If the class members opt for cash, they will receive the amount between $20 and $50. And, if the member chooses a gift, they will receive cookies worth $30. Along with this amount, Lenny and Larry’s has also agreed to cover the attorney fee, court fee, and plaintiff awards.
However, the members will only get the amount if they submit the proof of purchase and claim before Jan 29’2019. In case, if the member does not have a proof of purchase, they will still recover the claim, but the value will be less. They will get $10 in cash or cookies worth $15.
The proof of purchase is required as Lenny and Larry’s sell their cookies at numerous retailers.
