In the TCPA class action settlement, a $1.1 million campus settlement has reached in the lawsuit. This lawsuit has accused the Educational Financial Solution of misusing an autodialer to contact the customers for various promotions and advertisements.
Now, Educational Financial Solution LLC is doing business as Campus Debt Solution and has now agreed to pay $1.1 million to settle the allegations against them. The class action has alleged that they have used an auto dialer to contact the clients for the consolidation of loan and more.
According to The Telephone Consumer Protection Act, if a company violates the law, the customers are entitled to get $500 to $1000 in damage for each violation of law you do. Now, Plaintiff has also sought to recover the damages under the TCPA is her class action lawsuit.
The complete TCPA Class Action Settlement amount will benefit her and other customers who have faced the damage under the violations of TCPA act. Out of the $1.1 million settlement amount, class counsel has requested 30% for the fees that have incurred throughout the course of litigation.
Moreover, the Cabiness will also receive at $10,000 service award for her service as a class representative. However, the rest of the settlement fund will benefit all the eligible class members
