On October 15, 2026, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a recall of Scotch thermal laminator model TL1302Z. The agency says the laminator can overheat and pose a fire hazard. About 53,634 units are covered.

What should owners do?

CPSC advises consumers to stop using and unplug the affected laminator immediately. Check the model number on the sticker on the bottom of the product. If it matches, follow the official CPSC recall notice for the manufacturer's registration and refund instructions. Confirm the product is included before following the instructions for documenting and disposing of it.

This is a product safety recall with a refund remedy, not a class action settlement.
