The Federal Trade Commission says Amazon is sending automatic refunds to eligible U.S. Prime customers affected by enrollment or cancellation practices between June 23, 2019 and June 23, 2025. Under the revised order, payments continue through April 2027. Eligibility also depends on how many Prime benefits a customer used during a 12-month period.

Do you need to file a claim?

No. According to the FTC, eligible customers do not have to file a claim, respond to a notice, or complete a form. Refunds are sent by mailed check, PayPal, or Venmo. The FTC says the maximum total payment is $200 and payments expire 60 days after issue.

Be wary of anyone asking you to pay a fee for access to this refund. Read the FTC's Amazon refund page for the full eligibility rules, current payment information, and official contact details.
