Those car owners who have owned a variety of Audi or Volkswagen vehicle, from 2008 to 2014 will get $6,500 from Volkswagen class action settlement. This settlement will resolve the allegations that a defect in the timing chain of certain models has caused tension failures.
\nThese failures have resulted in safety concerns and costly repairs for the users.
\nMoreover, Volkswagen already got hit by a class action lawsuit in 2016. And now another class action lawsuit has made an allegation that the car manufacturers have tried to hide the issues with the chain.
\nAccording to the Volkswagen Timing Chain Class Action Settlement, the ones who have leased or owned one of the 20 models of Audi or Volkswagen vehicles will be able to make a claim for their repairs. The entire settlement will cover the replacement and repairs of the timing chain, timing chain tensioner or replacement of the engine that got damaged due to the timing chain.
\nThe Class Members will also be able to claim the extension of their car\u2019s vehicle limited warranty cover. However, the Class Members who wish to exclude them from the settlement must do it by Oct\u201912, 2018.
\nThe deadline to submit the claim for the timing chain settlement is Jan\u201925, 2019.<\/p>\n

Which Class Members Are Eligible?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Every member is eligible who have either leased or purchased a class vehicle in Puerto Rico or U.S. However; it is important the vehicle VIN must be listed in the database that is available on the settlement website.<\/p>\n
